Emily Guevara
LICENSED ACUPUNCTURIST/Owner

Fertility acupuncturist Emily Guevara

Welcome to my website! I am so glad you found us. We are here to help you achieve your goals of fertility and hormonal balance.

People often ask me how I chose this career and this field. The short answer is, I truly believe it was a calling. I actually never had acupuncture before I began my studies! This is not a common story you hear from someone in this field but looking back at how my path unfolded and where we are now, it is undeniable that I am exactly where I am supposed to be.

I come from a family that is rooted in seeking out information and going the natural route whenever possible. My beautiful mother was never one to turn to medication unless absolutely necessary, instead, wise beyond her years, she knew that eating healthy was an integral part of staying healthy and as kids we very rarely got sick. This lean towards a more natural way to health was instilled in me at a young age and for this, I am forever grateful.

My father, who I’ve always been strongly connected to, is a seeker of knowledge. His outlook on life and guidance on positive thinking, steeped me in the ability to think outside the box which had a hand in me choosing this amazing career.

I began studying Chinese medicine in 2004, where I simultaneously served as an apprentice of sorts to Kirsten Hurder-Karchmer who, at the time, owned the largest fertility acupuncture clinic in Texas,  Under her wing I came to understand the intricate workings of female hormones and for several years worked with her in spear-heading the opening of both her Plano and Fort Worth clinics in 2009.

Over the years I’ve continued to hone my skills working with hundreds of people to help them achieve their ultimate goal of having a baby. My service to them is a true blessing, I absolutely love this field and am rewarded weekly by witnessing my patients evolve on a physical and emotional level.

When you become a patient, we not only focus on your acupuncture treatments, which in an of itself is immensely powerful, we will also help guide you in all fields related to achieving good health which in turn creates an optimal environment for conception.

Our individualized support and care for our patients is what sets us apart. You are not a number, you are part of our community and we are here to share our knowledge and hold space for you along the way.

I grew up in a traditional household in a small town in West Texas.  While in high school I volunteered at the hospital, took CPR classes, loved biology and considered going into the medical field.  I have always been interested in healthcare and then once I left home and got out into the world, became curious about alternative ways of healing.

In the early 90’s, I experienced a health crisis and conventional methods were not working, so I began my own personal research and experimentation with nutrition and supplements. Believe it or not, I learned a lot from organic gardening and soil health.  I also became a member of the Weston Price Association which focuses on farming, food and nutrition.  I called myself a “mad scientist” experimenting and noting my changes as I went along.  Over the next few years, I worked on various symptoms until I found resolution.  Then, one day, I realized I was well!

In 2007, I became a Nutritional Therapist.  I used my knowledge to care for my husband for whom I was a full-time caregiver.  He outlived his diagnosis by 10 years.  After he passed, I moved to the Dallas area to be near family.  While looking for work, my daughter introduced me to Emily who hired me as administrative staff.

I love the art of Chinese medicine and learning from Emily who has such an amazing, intuitive skill.  She is one of a kind.  After everything I have seen and experienced in my life, I feel very fortunate to work for a practitioner that I respect so much.  It is wonderful to watch her change the lives of so many.

PS:  I am still a “mad scientist”.
